Years ago, working in a corporate cubicle, I noticed a sticky note on a coworker's desk. It simply said, “do good.”
For some reason, those two words stuck with me. They seemed to sum up something complicated in a wonderfully simple way.
I've had a sticky note with those words near my workspace ever since.
For me, “do good” isn't a declaration of what's good or bad. It's an invitation to think about what good means to me, and a reminder to carry those thoughts into everyday life.
When faced with a decision, a task, or an interaction with someone, I don't always know the right answer. But I can stop and ask myself what doing good might look like.
That's what “do good” means to me. A direction, not an answer.
I'm not always good at it. Sometimes I forget. Sometimes I fall short.
Hence the sticky note.
It's a reminder to think, to consider what good means, and to try again when I don't get it right.
There's usually a book I'm reading, something playing in my headphones, a movie I've been meaning to watch, or a video game that's eating up my free time.
This is a little snapshot of what I'm enjoying lately. Some of it is great, some of it... not so much. But it's all part of the fun.

I've always liked the idea that life is a journey. It's good to have somewhere you're headed, but there's a lot to enjoy, discover, and experience along the way. And sometimes the unexpected turns are the best part.
This little corner of the web is where I leave some traces of that journey. Things I've read, watched, played, made, discovered, or just felt like sharing.
Some are little things. Others might turn into something more. There's no particular plan for what ends up here, and that's kind of the point.
Just a collection of breadcrumbs from wherever the road happens to take me.
I miss magazines. I miss walking into a bookstore and seeing them all lined up on the shelves, each cover trying to catch my eye.
There's something a little sad about how much creativity goes into magazine cover art, only for it to end up as a tiny black-and-white image on my e-reader. So this is my little magazine rack. A place to give that artwork some room to shine.
And then there are the stories themselves.
I've always been fascinated by short fiction. Some stories are great, some are forgettable, and some leave me wondering why I bothered. But every once in a while, you find one that grabs you in the first paragraph and makes you care about someone you've never met, all in six thousand words or so.
That's a special kind of storytelling.
I'm always on the lookout for the next one. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying the covers and following wherever the stories take me.
There are a few things I'd like to make a regular part of my life. Exercise, journaling, and reading are three of them.
The idea is simple. Set a few goals, check them off as I go, and see how I'm doing over time. Some days I manage all three. Other days, well, life happens.
There's something satisfying about looking back and seeing those little checkmarks add up. Not necessarily a perfect streak, just a visual reminder of the effort I've been putting in.
